Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and North Macedonia’s Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozinovska, met to discuss enhancing gas supply cooperation between their countries. The talks focused on potential long-term agreements for gas deliveries and investments to modernize North Macedonia’s gas infrastructure. The ministers also explored opportunities for collaboration between North Macedonia’s state-owned power utility ESM and Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR).

Minister Shahbazov invited Minister Bozinovska to the upcoming ministerial session on the Southern Gas Corridor and the third Green Energy Council ministerial meeting. He reiterated Azerbaijan’s support for North Macedonia’s efforts to become a regional gas transportation hub and offered expertise for joint projects. Minister Bozinovska emphasized that the discussions opened new opportunities for North Macedonia’s energy sector, aiming to boost gas supply and attract investments for infrastructure upgrades.
