Out of the total, 106.1 GWh was traded for the Kosovo bidding zone, while 110.5 GWh was traded for the Albania bidding zone. The average market clearing price stood at 114.25 euros per MWh, marking a 10.5% decrease from June and a 19.1% drop compared to the same month last year.

The total value of transactions on ALPEX in August amounted to 39.5 million euros, showing an 80.1% increase year-on-year.

ALPEX was established in October 2020 by the Albanian transmission system operator OST and its Kosovo counterpart KOSTT. It held its first auction for the Albanian market in April 2023 and currently has 36 members across the bidding zones of Albania and Kosovo.
