Serbia ensures continuous fuel supply as Pančevo refinery extends operations until November 25

The Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy has announced that the NIS oil refinery in Pančevo will continue its production and distribution operations until November 25, supported by sufficient crude oil reserves. The decision was confirmed after a session of the Standing Task Force for the National Strategy for Crisis Situations in the Oil Sector.

During the meeting, participants highlighted the importance of maintaining stable and balanced fuel distribution across the country, with particular emphasis on ensuring that smaller gas stations remain adequately supplied. The discussions also addressed the optimization of transport logistics and the regulation of petroleum product imports from neighboring markets to prevent potential supply disruptions.

Acting Assistant Minister for Oil and Gas, Saša Koković, stated that the Ministry, in coordination with other state institutions, has intensified efforts to improve and accelerate logistics operations. These measures aim to make full use of the available infrastructure for importing and transporting petroleum products, thereby ensuring the continuous and reliable supply of fuel throughout Serbia.
