Bosnia and Herzegovina: RiTE Gacko launches €5 million tender for mine expansion excavation and land grading

Coalmine and Thermal Power Plant (RiTE) Gacko has issued a public tender to select a contractor for excavation, loading, transportation, disposal, and land leveling as part of its mine expansion project. The contract’s estimated value is up to 5 million euros, excluding VAT.

The work will be carried out at the PK Gacko surface mining site and will focus on two main areas: the overburden coal layers in the advance exploitation zone, located about one kilometer east of the current boundary of field C, and the area in front of the active work front of field C.

Approximately 650,000 cubic meters of sand and clay sediments are expected to be excavated from the overburden zone, with an additional 200,000 cubic meters of material to be handled in front of field C. All work must be completed within six months from the contractor’s site handover.

Interested bidders have until July 7 to submit their offers.
