Albania: Coral to launch first Shell petrol station by 2025 in partnership with Kastrati Group

Coral, the Greek Shell licensee, has announced plans to open the first Shell-branded petrol station in Albania by the end of 2025, in collaboration with the Kastrati Group, a prominent Albanian construction and oil conglomerate. The new station will mark the beginning of Shell’s retail network expansion in the country, offering Albanian customers access to Shell’s premium products and services.

The partnership was solidified last week when Coral signed an agreement with Kastrati Group to broaden its footprint in southeastern Europe. As part of the agreement, several existing petrol stations under the Kastrati brand will be rebranded to Shell, contributing to the growth of the Shell network in Albania.

Coral already operates 750 Shell retail stations in Greece, commanding a 22% market share, and 29 Shell stations in Cyprus. The Kastrati Group, which runs one of Albania’s largest fuel retail networks, currently operates 85 petrol stations across the country. The collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both companies, helping Shell expand its presence in the region while providing Kastrati with the benefits of Shell’s global brand and premium product offerings.
