Bulgaria: Bulgargaz proposes 7.49% increase in natural gas prices for November

Bulgargaz, Bulgaria’s state-owned gas supplier, has proposed a higher wholesale natural gas price for November 2024, set at approximately 35 euros/MWh. This represents a 7.49% increase from the October price of 32.6 euros/MWh, which itself had risen by 2.9% compared to September.

The company is addressing customer demand for the upcoming winter season by conducting tenders for liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the new terminal in Alexandroupoli, Greece. TotalEnergies has been selected as the supplier for LNG in October, November, and December 2024. Additionally, Bulgargaz plans to draw from its contract with Azerbaijan and utilize the Chiren underground storage facility to ensure adequate gas supplies.
