Romania: INVL Renewable Energy Fund I secures €24.4 million for 60 MW solar project

INVL Renewable Energy Fund I, managed by INVL Asset Management, has secured €24.4 million in funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Eiffel Investment Group for the development of a 60 MW solar power plant in Dolj County, Romania.

This project is the second solar power plant initiative for the fund. Additionally, the fund is nearing the completion of another solar power plant project with a 51 MW capacity in Romania, scheduled to be finished by the end of September this year. In total, the fund is investing in eight solar power projects across Romania with a combined capacity of 451 MW.

The INVL Renewable Energy Fund I’s portfolio of renewable energy projects now totals 483 MW. Beyond Romania, the fund is also developing solar projects in Poland, with a capacity of over 32 MW.

The investments in solar projects in Romania and Poland are anticipated to exceed €330 million, with all solar power plants expected to be operational by the end of the third quarter of 2026.
