Bosnia and Herzegovina: FBiH produced 514 GWh of electricity in June

In June 2024, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) recorded a gross electricity production of 514 GWh, marking a 17.1% decrease from 620 GWh in June 2023. The breakdown of this production is as follows:

Hydropower plants: 28.4% of total production
Thermal power plants: 68.29%
Wind farms: 3.31%
Net electricity production for the month totaled 473 GWh, with the sources contributing as follows:

Hydropower plants: 142 GWh
Thermal power plants: 314 GWh
Wind farms: 17 GWh
Electricity imports increased to 126 GWh from 46 GWh in June 2023, while exports fell to 92 GWh compared to 253 GWh last year.

Production figures for various fuels in June 2024 include:

Brown coal: 287,047 tons, a 20% decrease from 358,743 tons in June 2023
Lignite: 118,396 tons, a 10.6% increase from 107,008 tons in June 2023
Coke: 35,364 tons, a 45.3% decrease from 64,691 tons produced in June 2023
