Romania: Energobit, Electromontaj Cluj submit bids for the 145 MWt CET Govora TPP design and execution

Israaealy company Baran, Telemenia and Energobit jointly submitted an offer to participate in the open tender for the design and execution of the thermal-electric power plant in the combined cycle within CET Govora, Lot 1. The contract has an estimated value of 534 million lei (110 million euros), without VAT. The duration of the implementation of this project was set at 25 months from the signing of the Start Order, to which the 24-month warranty period is added.

The new thermal and electrical energy production plant (Lot 1) will have a total installed capacity of about 145 MWt. Here, a high-efficiency cogeneration plant will be used, equipped with engines that will use fuel based on natural gas, and a plant with hot water boilers, with the same type of fuels, to which the auxiliary plants are added.

According to the specifications, this new configuration of the SACET Râmnicu Vâlcea source will benefit from the connection to the gas installation through a new access path to the existing SRM Transgaz station. The same will happen with the existing water networks, at SEN, in the 110 kV Govora station that currently exists.

The project also provides for the construction of a thermo-electric plant that will use biomass. Its nominal thermal capacity will be at least 5 MWt and 1.8 Mwe, valued at 10.11 million lei (Lot 2). The auction for this lot has been cancelled, as no bid has been submitted.
