North Macedonia increases electricity prices for most households

In response to a request from EVN Home, the universal power supplier, the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission (ERC) of North Macedonia announced that it will raise rates for the majority of families’ consumption of electricity effective July 1. 

According to a press statement from ERC, over 88% of households in tier 1 and tier 2 will see a rise in electricity rates of roughly 0.4%. According to a statement by ERC President Marko Bislimoski, prices will rise by 0.57% for tier 4 customers and 0.48% for tier 3 consumers, or around 8% of households.
