Bulgaria: EU to support network upgrade with 65 million euros

Bulgaria will receive €65.2 million from the EU for a project to reinforce the electricity nerwork to better support the integration of renewable energy, the European Commission said in a statement. 

The funding is part of a total of nearly €3 billion that the EU is making available through its Modernization Fund to support 39 projects in 10 member states. The fund aims to help 13 low-income countries in the EU, including Bulgaria, in their transition to climate neutrality.
