Romania: Eurowind secured a construction permit for a 66 MW wind park

Danish renewables developer and operator Eurowind Energy has secured the construction permit for a 66 MW wind project in Romania, the company said in a LinkedIn post.

The Frumusita wind parks will be located in Galati County. Eurowind will install 11 wind turbines capable of generating enough electricity to supply 62,000 households.

The company plans to have the Frumusita wind farm up and running by the end of 2025.

– By the end of 2025, the building permits granted to Eurowind Energy projects in Romania will cover 450 MW, thus supporting the mitigation of environmental problems globally and the development of local communities – Adrian Dobre, Country Manager Romania of Eurowind Energy, said in the post.

Eurowind started the construction of a 60.2 MW solar power plant in Transylvania and closed a loan for the construction of a 48 MW wind park near Constanta.
