Croatia: HOPS announced auctions for the purchase of electricity to cover transmission system losses

Electricity transmission system operator HOPS is inviting all interested participants in the electricity market to participate in the auction for the purchase of electricity to cover transmission system losses via the CROPEX trading platform.

HOPS announced five auctions:

– Group 1 for the delivery period from 1 May 2024 to 31 May 2024, with delivery capacity and profile of 5 MWh/h (3,720 MWh);

– Group 2 for the delivery period from 1 June 2024 to 30 June 2024, with delivery capacity and profile of 5 MWh/h hours (3,600 MWh);

– Group 3 for the delivery period from 1 July 2024 to 30 September 2024, with a delivery capacity and profile of 5 MWh/h (11,040 MWh); 

– Group 4 for the delivery period from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024, with delivery capacity and profile of 5 MWh/h (11,045 MWh); and 

– Group 5 for the delivery period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025, with delivery capacity and profile of 10 MWh/h (87,600 MWh).

The auctions will be held on April 2.
