Europe: The SIDC held a pre-launch event about new Intraday Auctions

The Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) involved in the European Single Intraday Coupling (SIDC) jointly held a successful event providing insights about the upcoming launch of coupled Intraday Auctions (IDAs). More than 900 participants registered for the online event.

The introduction of Intraday Auctions in the SIDC market will happen in June 2024 and the member testing will start in April. Market participants will be informed about the next steps and will be given detailed information about the relevant tests in due time.

The information package on the IDAs is published on the ENTSO-E and NEMO Committee websites. The session file used during the event has been published on both websites as well.

SIDC currently couples the continuous intraday markets of 25 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden
