Romania: Eurowind to invest 47 million euros in solar project

Teius.Solar, a Romanian subsidiary of a Danish renewables developer Eurowind Energy announced the launch of a 47 million euro investment in a 60.2 MW solar photovoltaic park in Alba county.

The Teius photovoltaic park, scheduled for completion at the end of June 2024, will generate 103.6 GWh of electricity per year, reducing carbon emissions by 37.1 kilotons, Eurowind Energy said in a press release.

-The approval of the Teius Photovoltaic Park represents an important moment in our sustainable development and climate change combating strategy, contributing to a cleaner environment for future generations – according to Adrian Dobre, country manager of Romania at Eurowind Energy.

The project was granted 15 million euros in state aid through Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The investment was first announced by Eurowind Energy in June 2023.

Teius.Solar is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established for the construction of this solar project. Eurowind Energy employs over 560 people in fifteen European countries and the US, specialising in developing and operating wind, solar and hybrid projects. The group has been present in Romania since 2011.
