Romania: Average OPCOM DAM price reached 85.1 euros/MWh in June 

Traded volume on the day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM in June 2023 reached 1.37 million MWh, which is 37% less than in June 2022 and 15% more than in May. The average traded volume in June 2023 amounted to 1,896 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in June amounted to 119.6 million euros. That is 77% less compared to June last year (510.6 million euros) and 13% more than in the previous month (105.4 million euros). 

The average price of electricity amounted to 85.13 euros/MWh in June which is 63% lower compared to the same month in 2022 and 2% lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 87.13 euros/MWh.

The share of the day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in June amounted to 36%.

109,85 MWh was traded on the intraday market in June. That is 340% more than in June 2022, and 4% less compared to May. The average price reached 91.25 euros/MWh.
