Greece: Italgas plans to invest 900 million euros in the Greek portfolio

Italian gas distributor Italgas unveiled plans to invest 7.8 billion euros by 2029, of which 900 million euros will be invested in its Greek portfolio. The company targets its Greek portfolio EBITDA for 2023 to reach 106 million euros – 9% of its global figure.

Italgas wants to increase its activities in the Greek market and increase its value from 700 million euros in 2022 to 1.2 billion euros by 2029, at an annual growth rate of 7.3%.

A key objective for the group in the Greek market remains to expand natural gas distribution to new areas through the addition of 42 municipalities to the network, either through pipeline distribution or LNG stations.

DEPA Infrastructure holds stakes in the three largest gas distribution operators in Greece (EDA Attiki, EDA THESS and DEDA). It manages over 7,500 kilometres of the gas network.
