Romania: Support scheme for prosumers to be launched in May

Financing program “Casa Verde” small solar projects will be launched on 19 May, the Administration of the Environmental Fund (AFM) announced. The financing session for the enrollment of individual applicants in the program regarding the installation of solar panel systems for the production of electricity, to cover the consumption needs and deliver the surplus to the national network, will begin on 19 May and will close on 26 June 2023.

AFM President Laurentiu-Adrian Neculaescu said that considering the importance of the program from the point of view of environmental protection policies and the interest shown by citizens, the AFM has made every effort to simplify the access of individuals to the program, by developing a new IT application.

The application should be able to support around 87,500 households in their effort to reduce their energy bill costs, in addition to the 55,000 systems approved in the two funding sessions organised so far.

The financing is granted in the amount of a maximum of 4,000 euros, under the condition of a personal contribution of the beneficiary of 400 euros.
