Romania, Transgaz recorded a net profit in the amount of 75 million euros in 2022

Romanian natural gas transmission system operator Transgaz recorded a net profit in the amount of 75 million euros in 2022, which is 97 % higher compared to the previous year.

The company’s operating profit increased by 21 % year-on-year to 33 million euros in 2022, while operating revenues amounted to 319 million euros, a 15 % annual increase.

Operating expenditures also rose by 15 % in 2022, reaching 286.5 million euros.

In 2022, Transgaz transported a total of 141.9 million MWh of natural gas through its system, which is 7 % lower compared to 2021.

At a group level, Transgaz recorded a net profit of some 71 million euros in 2022, up 98 % on the year. This includes parent company Transgaz, Moldovan subsidiary Eurotransgaz and Moldovan gas transmission operator Vestmoldtransgaz.
