North Macedonia, RKE announced that the new price of electricity for residential consumers will be lower for all tariffs

The North Macedonian Regulatory Commission for Energy (RKE) announced that the new price of electricity for residential consumers, which will be valid as of 1 January 2023, will be lower for all tariffs.

According to RKE, the price for the first block tariff (with lowest monthly consumption) will decreased by 4.11 %, for the second block tariff by 2.95 %. However, the price for the third block tariff will increase by 0.85 % and that for the fourth block tariff by 7.65 %.

The price of electricity for small commercial consumers will be decreased by 20.15 %, which covers some 70,000 consumers.

RKE President Marko Bislimovski said that the price reductions for 2023 will affect 99.2 % of consumers in North Macedonia.

The price reduction was achieved by reducing electricity transmission fee by 8.66 %, electricity distribution fee was lowered by 19.54 %, while network fee decreased by 20 %.
