Bulgaria, AES Galebovo TPP production increase by 173% in November

In November 2022, the Bulgarian wind farm Sveti Nikola increased the production of electricity by 50% compared to October, according to AES Bulgaria. Wind farm Sveti Nikola produced 30,554 MWh in the previous month, compared to 20,484 MWh in October, according to the announcement.

In the same period, the AES Galabovo coal-fired power plant produced 173% more electricity compared to the previous month. In November 2022, the plant produced 307,814 MWh, compared to 112,790 MWh in October.

In November, two power plants owned by AES Bulgaria covered the consumption of nearly one million Bulgarian households, the company added. The share in the total production in the country in November was about 11%, the statement added.
