Greece, Iberdola has started the commissioning of its 50 MW Askio III wind farm

Spanish Iberdola said that it has started the commissioning of its 50 MW Askio III wind farm in Western Macedonia region. The construction of this wind farm was launched just six months ago.

The wind farm is located at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level, which required Iberdrola fast construction before snow starts piling up in the winter.

Askio III consists of 12 wind turbines with total installed capacity of 50 MW. The new wind farm will share the network connection point with the 38 MW Askio II wind farm, which is currently under construction.

With the new wind farm, Iberdola operates a portfolio of 365 MW in renewables in Greece.
