Croatia, Net electricity production in September amounted to 937 GWh

According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in September 2022 amounted to 937 GWh, which is 10.8 % higher compared to September last year, when the production amounted to 846 GWh.

During September, 254 GWh of electricity or 27.1 % was produced in hydropower plants, 397 GWh or 42.4 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 190 GWh or 20.3 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 1,004 GWh of electricity, 2.9 % less compared to last September (1,034 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 515 GWh, 18.1 % more compared to September 2021 (436 GWh).

Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 61 million cubic meters of natural gas in September 2022, 3.2 % less compared to the same month last year. Natural gas imports stood at 171 million cubic meters, 56.9 % more than in September 2021. Crude oil production stood at 45,000 tons, 2.2 % less compared to the same month last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 289,000 tons in September 2022, compared to 288,000 tons in the same month last year.
