Serbia, Local company to build solar power plant near Smederevo

The city of Smederevo is preparing the draft detailed regulation plan of the solar power plant in Saraorci. The investor in the project is local company AVR Solar Park.

The land which is the subject of the plan is located in the construction area of the settlement, and the majority of the territory is used as privately- owned agricultural land. According to the draft, the construction of a solar power plant with a total capacity of around 12 MW is planned, of which the maximum installed power of the solar power plant in the first phase is up to 10 MW and then an additional 2 MW in the second or other remaining phases. The exact power of the power plant will depend on the technological characteristics of the installed panels.

The plan also defines the possibility of the phase- based realization of a solar power plant on each construction parcel, up to the maximum planned capacities and in line with the rules of development and construction.
