Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the HUPX amounted to 193.94 euros/MWh in October

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 193.94 euros/MWh in October 2022, which is 50 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 391.35 euros/MWh.

Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 211.85 euros/MWh in October, 50 % lower compared to September peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.04 million MWh, 1 % less compared to September (2.07 million MWh) and 24.7 % less than in October 2021 (2.33 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in October amounted to 65,803 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 404,010 MWh in October 2022, which is 9 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 13,033 MWh.
