Romania, CEE Holding plans to start the construction of eight solar power plants

Austrian CEE Holding said that it plans to start the construction of eight solar power plants in Romanian by the end of 2023.

The statement from the company said that it has 680 MW in solar projects in the pipeline in Romania, which could provide enough electricity to cover the needs of some 290,000 households.

The eight solar projects in question are in different stages of development, but all should be ready for the start of construction works by the end of next year .

CEE Holding has just received building permit for the first of the eight solar projects – the Horia solar power plant in Arad county with installed capacity of 40 MW. The starts of the construction is planned for 2023, with its commissioning planned for late 2024.

CEE Holding is a joint venture of Austrian Clean Capital Energy and German Enervorum, which focuses on the development and management of large-scale ground-mounted solar systems. It opened the office in Romania in August.
