Serbia, CWP Global announced the development of three new renewable energy projects

CWP Global announced the development of three new renewable energy projects in Serbia.

The first of the three projects in Lederata Energy – the first hybrid power plant in Serbia that will consists of a 50 MW solar power plant, a 100 MW wind farm and an energy storage facility with the capacity of 20 MW. It will be located in eastern Serbia, in Pozarevac and Veliko Gradiste municipalities. The start of the construction is planned for the first quarter of 2025, while the facility should be put into operation in 2027. Estimated cost of the project is around 200 million euros.

The second projects is Equinox Power – 80 MW solar power plant located in Kula municipality, with an estimated cost of construction of 80 million euros.

The third project is the biggest wind farm in Serbia – 450 MW Vetrogon wind farm, located in Srbobran and Becej municipalities, with an estimated project cost of some 600 million euros. The wind farm will generate 1.1 TWh of electricity per year. CWP expects to start the construction of this wind farm in 2025 and its commissioning is expected in 2028.

CWP is already developing several RES projects in Serbia. It has plans for two solar projects Solarina and Kima Solar, with 150 MW and 50 MW of installed capacity, respectively, and a 300 MW wind farm Vetrozelena.
