Croatia, Net electricity production in Croatia in June amounted to 1,003 GWh

According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in June 2022 amounted to 1,003 GWh, which is 14 % higher compared to June last year, when the production amounted to 880 GWh.

During June, 374 GWh of electricity or 37.3 % was produced in hydropower plants, 401 GWh or 40 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 137 GWh or 13.7 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 1,007 GWh of electricity, 8.2 % more compared to last June (931 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 488 GWh, 44.8 % more compared to June 2021 (337 GWh).

Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 63 million cubic meters of natural gas in June 2022, the same as in June last year. Natural gas imports stood at 201 million cubic meters, 8.1% more than in June 2021. Crude oil production stood at 44,000 tons, 2.2 % less compared to June last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 336,000 tons in June 2022, compared to 297,000 tons in the same month last year.
