Romania, Romgaz’ hydrocarbon output dropped by 0.25 % in H1 2022

Hydrocarbon output of Romanian natural gas producer Romgaz amounted to 16.26 million barrels of oil equivalent in the first half of 2022, which is 0.25 % less compared to the same period last year.

The amount of extracted gas dropped by 0.16 % and amounted to 2.515 billion cubic meters or 16.17 million barrels of oil equivalent. Out of this amount, 2.482 billion cubic meters was extracted in Romania, which is an 8.85 % decrease year-on- year. Condensate production amounted to 10.613 million tons of oil equivalent, down 17.5 % compared to the first six months of 2021.

Electricity generation in the first half od 2022 totaled 544.7 GWh, which is an increase of 168.2 % compared to the first half of 2021.

In the second quarter alone, hydrocarbon production amounted to 7.81 million barrels of oil equivalent, which is 0.09 % lower compared to Q2 2021, while the amount of extracted natural gas was 1.208 billion cubic meters (+ 0.02 %). Condensate production decreased by 19.51 % to 5.244 million tons of oil equivalent, while electricity generation reached 199.3 GWh.
