Romania, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the OPCOM amounted to 230.19 euros/MWh in June

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 230.19 euros/MWh in June 2022, which is 199.17 % higher compared to the same month in 2021 and 13.82 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 192.6 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in June reached 2.15 million MWh, which is 1.04 % less than in June 2021 and 1.72 % more than in May 2022. Average traded volume in June 2022 amounted to 2,991.4 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in June amounted to 510.6 million euros, which is by 205.87 % more compared to June last year (166.9 million euros) and 17.03 % more than in the previous month (436.3 million euros).

The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in June 2021 amounted to 52.09 %.

A total of 78,450 MWh was traded on intraday market in June (23.93 % less than in June 2021, and 12.83 % less compared to April 2022), with an average price of 216.25 euros/MWh (175.97 % higher compared to June 2021 and 12.28 % higher compared to the previous month).

Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in June amounted to 1.595 million MWh, with an average price of 94.6 euros/MWh.
