Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the HUPX amounted to 236.79 euros/MWh in June

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 236.79 euros/MWh in June 2022, which is 16 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 204.84 euros/MWh.

Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 238.23 euros/MWh in June, 20 % higher compared to May peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.16 million MWh, 10 % less compared to May (2.39 million MWh) and 7.3 % less than in June 2021 (2.33 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in June amounted to 71,905 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 345,093 MWh in June 2022, which is 16 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 11,503 MWh.
