Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the HUPX amounted to 189.18 euros/MWh in April

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 189.18 euros/MWh in April 2022, which is 34 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 285.58 euros/MWh.

Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 189.08 euros/MWh in April, 35 % lower compared to March peak price. Traded volume on the day- ahead market reached 2.34 million MWh, approximately the same as in March and 2.6 % more than in April 2021 (2.28 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in April amounted to 78,062 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 365,000 MWh in April 2022, which is 10 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 12,167 MWh.
