Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gross electricity production 5.17 TWh in January

Gross electricity production in Bosnia and Herzegovina in January 2022 amounted to 1,682 GWh, the Central Bureau of Statistics announced.

In the total gross production, hydropower plants participated with 36% (605 GWh), thermal power plants with 61% (1,027 GWh), and solar and wind power plants with 3% (50 GWh).
Electricity imports amounted to 225 GWh in January, compared to 254 GWh in December last year, while exports decreased on a monthly basis from 829 GWh to 670 GWh.

A total of 1,124 GWh of electricity in January was available on the domestic market.
Lignite production decreased on a monthly basis from 67 thousand tons in December 2021 to 538 thousand tons in January 2022.

Brown coal production increased on a monthly basis from 508 to 514 thousand tons.
