Romania, PNE has sold a solar projects with installed capacity of 81 MW

German wind developer PNE said that it has sold a solar projects with installed capacity of 81 MW to Israeli company Econergy International.

The project in question in located in Oradea, western Romania, has all necessary permits and is ready for the start of construction. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.

In late 2021, Econergy acquired 87 MW solar power plant project in development in Parau in central Romania, as well as 153 MW solar project in Ratesti, Arges County. The second project will be developed in partnership with Nofar energy.

Last August, PNE said that it has sold the rights to three wind farm projects in Romania to an unnamed global renewable energy company for an undisclosed price. PNE is a German company based in Cuxhaven which develops wind farms on land and at sea, also active in photovoltaics, electricity storage and clean electricity supply. The company opened a subsidiary in Romania in 2008.
