Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gross electricity production in the FBiH in December 2021 amounted to 956 GWh

Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in December 2021 amounted to 956 GWh, which is by 1.5 % higher compared to December last year, when it amounted to 942 GWh.

Net electricity production amounted to 895 GWh, of which 509 GWh (56.9 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 353 GWh (39.5 %) was
produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 33 GWh. In December, electricity imports amounted to 178 GWh, compared to 42 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 875 GWh, compared to 237 GWh last December.

In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 325,041 tons, which is 5.2 % less compared to 2020 when the production stood at 342,575 tons. Lignite production in December 2021 amounted to 101,455 tons, while in December 2020 it amounted to 141,634 tons, a 28.4 % decrease.

Coke production in December 2021 totaled 79,554 tons, which is 0.4 % less than 79,895 tons produced in December 2020.
