Romania, Hidroelectrica sold electricity for the delivery in 2023 at the price of 162 euros/MWh

Romanian electricity producer Hidroelectrica sold electricity for the delivery in 2023 at the price of 162 euros/MWh on OPCOM’s centralized market for electricity bilateral contracts.

Hidroelectrica offered four 5 MW baseload packages for the delivery during 2023 at the price of 119.5 euros/MWh, but the price at which these packages were sold rose to an average of 162 euros/MWh. All packages were bought by electricity supplier Energy Distribution Services (EDS), while other suppliers such as Electrica and E.ON and large consumers such as Alro Slatina and Liberty Galati were among the bidders.
