Hungary: Traded electricity on HUPX in March

In March 2021, the average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 55.02 euros/MWh, which is 8 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 50.85 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 57.56 euros/MWh in March, 1 % lower compared to February peak price. Traded volume in March reached 2.095 million MWh, which is 15 % more than in February (1.82 million MWh) and 2.1 % less than in March 2020 (2.139 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in March amounted to 72,553 MWh. Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 153,276 MWh in March 2021, which is 22 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 4,944 MWh.
