Hungary: Photon Energy company commissioned five solar power plants

Dutch-based company Photon Energy said that it commissioned three solar power plants in Malyi and another two in Kunszentmarton, which are all expected to generated about 4.2 GWh of electricity per year. The company through its Hungarian subsidiary has commissioned five solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 3.5 MW, thus bringing its Hungarian solar portfolio to 35 MW and its total portfolio to 60.6 MW.

Photon Energy will own and operate these power plants through wholly-owned project companies that own KAT licenses, which entitle each power plant to a feed-in tariff of around 95 euros/MWh. The three plants in Malyi are entitled to a maximum approved and supported production of approximately 16,500 MWh per license over a period of 25 years, and the two plants in Kunszentmrton are entitled to a maximum approved and supported production of 13,832 MWh per license over 17 years and four months. Total annual revenues of all five power plants are expected to amount to 405,000 euros.

Last month, Photon Energy commissioned a total of eight solar power plants in Hungary, with combined power output of 5.4 MW.
