Croatia: HOPS announces CROPEX auctions to purchase electricity for transmission system losses

Croatian electricity transmission system operator HOPS has invited all interested electricity market participants to take part in an auction for the purchase of electricity to cover transmission system losses, which will be conducted via the CROPEX trading platform.

Two separate auctions will be organized:

  • Group 1 covers the delivery period from 1 December 2025 to 31 December 2025, with a delivery capacity and profile of 10 MWh/h every day of the week (Monday to Sunday), from 00:00 to 24:00, totaling 7,440 MWh.
  • Group 2 covers the delivery period from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026, also with a delivery capacity and profile of 10 MWh/h every day (Monday to Sunday), from 00:00 to 24:00, totaling 21,650 MWh.

Both auctions will take place on 4 November, between 11:00 and 12:00 AM, through the CROPEX trading platform.
