Ecoenergy Renewable Energy is looking to buy solar photovoltaic projects in Bulgaria with a capacity between 50 MW and 150 MW, according to Efstathios Sideris, country manager in Greece.

The PV projects need to have at least a preliminary connection agreement with Electricity System Operator (ESO) or must be close to signing an agreementt. The projects should also have the possibility to obtain a construction permit by the second quarter of 2024.

“We are also asking for 2-hour technology battery storage projects to purchase,” Sideris added.

With a presence in six countries including Greece, Romania and Poland, Econergy has 1,095 MW of solar and wind and 510 MWh of energy storage projects under construction or ready to build, with a pipeline of 6.5 GW of renewables and 2.6 GWh of storage under development.
