The hydropower plant Visegrad, operated by ERS subsidiary Hidroelektrane na Drini, generated 37.91 GWh of electricity in October 2025. This represents a 31.3 percent increase compared to September, when production reached 28.88 GWh. However, output remains lower than in the same month last year, when the plant delivered 47.63 GWh.
In 2024, HPP Visegrad produced a total of 733 GWh of electricity, significantly below the 1,224 GWh generated in 2023. Since the beginning of 2025, the plant has produced 596.7 GWh.
HPP Visegrad entered operation in 1989 and has an installed capacity of 315 MW (three units of 105 MW each). Its average annual production amounts to around 1,010 GWh, while its record year was 2010, with generation reaching 1,283.05 GWh.
