Serbia: Zora Energy plans 180 MW Ziman wind farm

Local company Zora Energy has announced plans to construct the Ziman wind farm, a 180 MW project located within the Kucevo municipality in eastern Serbia. The project is outlined in the preliminary public review study for the Detailed Regulation Plan.

The designated area for the wind farm is situated in the southeastern part of Kucevo and spans approximately 7,385 hectares. The site includes a mix of forested and agricultural land, much of which is either publicly owned or privately held, with certain sections classified as construction land.

According to the study, the wind farm will be built on hilly terrain, chosen based on wind potential, topography, and sufficient distance from residential areas, as well as exclusion from zones of cultural or protected natural importance.

The project will feature about 26 wind turbines, with a combined capacity of 180 MW. The final design will be determined during the planning phase, but each turbine, including its blades, will have a maximum height of 250 meters, with blade diameters reaching up to 190 meters.
